Instructions

Understanding your result

Using title case and whitespace cleanup on the sample turns “ ADA LOVELACE ” into “Ada Lovelace”. Check initials and names with unusual capitalization separately. A mechanical case rule cannot know your preferred spelling of a person's name or brand.

What to do if you have a problem

If an acronym changes, select unchanged case and use whitespace cleanup alone, or process only the columns that need case changes. If meaningful line breaks vanish, retry from the original without trimming. Inspect both short and multiline cells before saving.

What to know before using the result

Title case capitalizes each word; sentence case capitalizes the first letter of the cell. These simple rules can alter proper names, acronyms and brand spellings. Trimming also collapses tabs and line breaks within cells to spaces. Headers remain unchanged. Maximum 2 MB and 20,000 rows.

These tools work with pasted text or supported CSV files rather than Excel workbook files. CSV exports contain values and do not preserve workbook formatting, formulas or multiple worksheets. Formula builders produce formula text to use in Excel. Data processing runs in the browser tool.
